I'm a big Marco fan, as you know.

But Erik was the better 122 pounder. No doubt about it.

EM, even tho I thought MAB deserved the decision in their 122 lb fight.

I believe that Morales is only second to Gomez in that division.

i say erik morales, especially on paper.........

but being sincere, i thought barrera beat jones in the rematch, and their first fight was as close to a draw as ive ever seen.....

i say head to head in their best form at 122, they were pretty much on par...

I do think Barrera deserved the first decision over Morales by the way...

The most impressive part of that fight for me was how well Morales took the body punches that Barrera blasted him with all night. That **** made me cringe... often.

If the judges had given it to Barrera, would that have changed anyone's minds?

                  It would change my opinion.

Personally I felt that Marco won their first fight as well. But it was close, and on paper - He lost. End of.

So I can't give him credit for a win he "should've" gotten, but didn't.

I feel the same way about the Jones rematch that Hypersion pointed out.

I thought Barrera deserved the nod. But again, he never got it. And on paper, that makes Morales the far better 122 pound fighter by record.

Eh... idk about that. This kind of logic gives credence to things like... Casamayor deserves credit for winning a close split decision over Santa Cruz.

I think you can make determinations on who wins fights, even if it is at odds with the judges.
