I'm sick of hearing that, 'it's better for boxing for old men to lose.' That mind set is also shared by most judges. I figured a guy who loves the old farts as much as you wouldn't feel that way. I think what's best for boxing is when the guy who deserves the decision gets it.
Why Winky will win

I doubt he is saying that the fight should be scored for Williams if it was close.I'm sick of hearing that, 'it's better for boxing for old men to lose.' That mind set is also shared by most judges. It would clearly be better for boxing if Paul Williams were to win. He is young and willing to fight anybody from welterweight to middleweight. Wright is on his last legs at 37 and only wants the big paydays.Comment

Absolutely, but boxing will be better off if the young man deserves the decision.I'm sick of hearing that, 'it's better for boxing for old men to lose.' That mind set is also shared by most judges. I'm not accusing him of wanting Wright robbed, I'm just saying lots of people wanna see younger fighters win and it ends judges being biased. I think it's better for the old men to win personally. Boxing in more times than not is about the underdog story, and a great fighter coming off a 2 year retirement to reclaim the spotlight is an awesome story and well deserved of Winky. Paul is young and has everything going for him, can easily recover off a loss from Winky, especially if it's a great performance from both men.I doubt he is saying that the fight should be scored for Williams if it was close.
