Former six division champion Oscar De La Hoya is keeping quiet on the big decision that he plans to announce during a press conference on April 14 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. De La Hoya will either announce his retirement or a future date for a final return to the ring. One thing is for sure, De La Hoya's decision will be his own, and not based on how his wife or anyone else feels. [details]

If he wishes to fight one last time again at 154, I hope Pacman will oblige one more time, it doesn't matter at what weight Manny will come, as long as he's comfortable. Let's see if Oscar will say the same "Something went wrong" again, after Manny chops him up again. At least Oscar's retirement fund will grow a bit fatter after the ass beating he will get...Comment

154
at 154 oscar can still dominate!! it better to keep on fighting than to be 60 years old wondering what would have happend if he kept boxing!! and once you are too old its too late.. he will probably retire then see mosley and hopkins win a couple fights and come back in 2 years!! but i think he will anounce a retirement that day why else would he have this conference at the staple center? that is where his statue is.Comment

All signs are pointing to Oscar fighting again, except the fact that he has this big press conference coming up. I can't see anyone scheduling an event to announce that they are fighting again. The whole thing is bizarre really, but I'm fine with either decision. He still can compete at 154 lbs if he so chooses to.Comment
