Sorry to say it but Jones would KO Lacey at this point

It was my first fight I got to watch live. The atmosphere and everything was really cool and Im glad I went, took a bunch of pictures and all but Lacey's performance was a huge disappointment.

Roy Jones was there tonight watching it ring side and Lacey called him out after the fight so Im sure it will be made.

Being 100% honest, Lacey was lucky to get the decision over Otis. I didnt keep track of rounds, but there were no knockdowns and I would maybe have given it to Otis or a draw. Lacey really struggled with him, he was getting hit way too much, never hurt but he also couldnt get his punches off just like every fight of his we've seen lately. Omar held a lot and Lacey didnt seem interested in pushing him off to create distance and try to setup anything or try to outbox this guy.

This isnt the same Lacey pre-calzaghe. Lacey used to be able to connect his power shots and KO guys easy. Its not just the left shoulder cause his right hand isnt worth **** anymore either. To use Roach's phrase, he cant pull the trigger anymore.

If Otis can land so easy on him, Jones could land on him at will. Also Jones is mostly bothered by pressure, but being that Lacey cant punch anymore, he has nothing to bother Roy with. Roy would stop him if they fight now, it would be sad and I wouldnt want to see it. Lacey should retire.

And now that I think about it, I think Taylor carried him in their fight since they were Olympic buddies and all that, Taylor just gave him the fight as a favor to get him money and his name back in the mix.

**** bein sorry about it. I got no problem wit Lacy, but I'd like to see my boy RJ finish his career wit a KO. They need to make this fight.

Dunno about a KO (Lacy is pretty sturdy), but I have no trouble believing Roy would beat him easily.

I agree with DarchinyFAN. Roy beats him, but not by KO. Could be wrong, but that's how I see it.

Well, Roy does seem to have lost a bit of power, I mean his last fight he was landing clean on that guy and took a bit before it stopped him, a younger Roy landing like that would have took him out sooner so I think Roy has lost some power.

But at the same time, Lacey really strugged, I would even say lost to Otis. Roy would have KTFO of Otis within a few rounds no doubt.

If Otis can land on Lacey I really think Roy would be landing pretty regularly and with Lacey not having anything to really trouble Roy, I think it would come to the point of the ref stopping it at some point due to Lacey taking too much.

Yeah I don't think the ref nor Lacy's corner would let Lacy take a beating for 12 rounds against Roy Jones jr. If Lacy's punch is gone then he has absolutely no chance whatsoever. I like Lacy but it seems like he's done as a fighter. Actually he has been done for quite some time now.
