Senchenko Decisions Nuzhnenko, Wins WBA Title

At the Sportpalace Drusba in Donetsk, Ukraine, Vyacheslav Senchenko (29-0, 20 KOs) remained undefeated with with a twelve round unanimous decision over Yuri Nuzhnenko (28-1-1, 13 KOs) to capture the WBA "regular" welterweight title. The scores were 118-110, 116-112 and 116-112. Senchenko was said to have built up an early lead by boxing from the outside and using his jab as the key weapon to set up his bigger punches. Nuzhnenko suffered a cut over his left eye in the middle rounds and plenty of facial swelling as the contest wore on. He rallied at the end, but it was too late with Senchenko holding a comfortable advantage on the scorecards. [details]

It's good this was for the WBA "ordinary" title because these are two ordinary fighters with bloated records who wouldn't stand a chance against the division's best

So realistically Senchenko is the actual WBA champ. The boxing world can make a lot more money by calling Mosley the champ so thats why they do it.

Good fight, but both fighters are Euro level, not world class and definitely not WW championship class.

High time for WBA to make new "WBA regular Eastern European Champion in action"

Though i`m Ukrainian, both of them stand almost no chances with the WW elite...
