it is a good choice, like winky cotto is an extremely economical fighter, both waste very little, throw 3/4 punch combos at most and place an emphasis on technique.

Nope/ Dan is a good trainer, but he doesnt fit for Cotto.

Cotto needs Nacho, or Che Che Sanchez. Who train guys with very solid skills and good offesive arsenals. and are proven trainers at the elite level.

Hell even robert Alcazar is a better fit

Co Sign except for Alcazar, what did Birmingham do with Lacy after he was outclassed by Calzaghe?

Why not Alcazar? look what he did with DLH. Hell even after Alcazar the fights that Oscar won, was with Alcazas style of fighting, he never learned anything form the other trainers..

it doesn't really matter... cotto pretty much trains himself.

Makes sense, he's a great trainer and is running out of cash cow fighters. Winky is getting up there in age (though I'm hoping for a great performance tomorrow!) and Lacy is nearing the end.

Unlike Roach or many other prominent trainers, Cotto would have very little competition for his new trainer's attention.

Dan is a great trainer and I think he would work wonders as Cotto's trainer!!Imagine if he worked on Cotto's defense,Cotto always had that bad habbit of backing into the ropes and fighting off the second 1!!The only problem that I could imagine,is the language barrier, but if thats not a problem, then this may be great, because if he gets to sparr with Winky, thats basically a bigger Clottey!!

it would be a great fit, cuz clottey's fighting style is very similiar to winkys. So not only does the trainer can help create an offense for it, winky can be a sparing partner. Plus it would do wonders for cotto's defense.

Most trainers are better, for cotto, than Evangelista, so as long as he choses one that's better, he'll be okay.
