Why is Khan still being brought up. He needs to get his glass chin into a furnace or something, other wise he's done.

A title win and Prescott just won't matter any more (as Barrera already doesn't), unless he turns up as a mandatory or becomes 'big' enough to be a serious financial contender in his own right.
Well of course Khan is going to bypass Prescott so he doesnt have to face the guy that knocked him out. IMO lame, but look at Darchinyan, he's successful in his own right without having to face Donaire to redeem his manhood from that KO...!!

        Good to hear.

I don't want to see Khan in the ring with Hatton, I think he should prove himself worthy of a shot against the (As of now) #1 140 pounder. As has already been stated, he should fight someone like Ortiz first.

If Hatton loses to Pac, Khan would be a great payday for him and a easy fight.

No. As I said before, once Khan has a belt there is simply no reason to fight Prescott unless he is either a mandatory challenger or he can bring at least as much money to the table as other potential opponents.

Boxing is part business, but it's also part sport. There would be no business if it weren't for the sport.

From a sporting point of view, no one will take him seriously as a paper champion if they think he hasn't got the guts to fight the guy who sparked him in less than 1 minute. Provided Prescott keeps winning, a rematch should do good box office in any case.

And from the point of view of his development as a boxer, Khan is still a novice. He's only had two fights under Roach, both of them meaningless. He needs some learning fights under Roach to develop him, or else he'll turn into another David Reid, who rushed to a premature paper title and then got beaten up so badly by his first truly world class opponent that he was never the same again. In 2-3 fights time, a Prescott rematch would be a good learning fight for Khan, if Roach develops him right, and would lay to rest a few ghosts. Unfortunately, my worry is that he'll be beaten before that, because he's being rushed too fast (after being over-protected during his early career - it's one extreme or the other with Warren).

The thing is Khan has a promoter who would throw money at the organisation/opponent to get Khan to where he needs to be, Prescott even though his the better fighter of the two would have to get someone like Warren or he wouldnt even be able to get a chance at the top 5 boxer at either 135 or 140.

Its a sad reality but thats boxing.

I wouldn't be so sure. Prescott is already ranked #4 by the WBO, #5 by the WBA, and #9 by the WBC - and he hasn't even fought anyone yet (apart from Khan).

Thats great then, Didnt know that at all....If beating Khan could get you to that sort of ranking then it shows how big the name Khan is really.
