Malignaggi returns from a lopsided loss to Hatton in November to face Chris Fernandez (16-6-1) in an eight-round untelevised bout on the Carl Froch-Jermain Taylor undercard. If Malignaggi wins, he's looking at a likely June 27 match against rising prospect Mike Alvarado on the Kelly Pavlik-Sergio Mora pay-per-view undercard.

Malignaggi should win this, Fernandez has only won 1 of his last 4, 2 defeats and one draw. And shound't cause Paulie to many problems and should bag a convincing UD or even maybe a TKO victory.Fernandez isn't really to difficult to stop he's lost 6 and 5 of those have been TKO defeats, against half decent oppostion and prospects.
This should help Paulie's confindence and after he will look for big fights and them big pay checks he wants. Him and Judah would be a interesting one and would be pretty big in New York, but lets wait and see.
I wonder if there could be hand touble after this one? Which could put a dent in his plans.Last edited by Southpaw16BF; 04-09-2009, 04:46 PM.Comment
