Williams needs to throw 100+ punches per round to make good numbers on the cards because he will get COUNTERED all night long since he does not guard himself when punching

I just want to have an answer before Williams beats him, so that I can be expecting this from those who say yes, and can just shake my head at those who say he isnt.

Cause you know when Williams wins, this will be the excuse.

How would anyone know until fight night? He hasn't been in the ring for 2 years. For all we know he could be a shell of himself, or he could be fresh and the same Winky that made a dominant run from 1999 until the Hopkins loss. We'll see.

If I had to guess. If Winky is ready for this fight and not passed it, old, and rusty (he will be rusty, I think). It's going to be a lot of Paul Williams punching gloves, which is exactly how Winky wins. He makes you open yourself up and just sticks you with the most obvious punches and pushes you backwards.

I have my money on Winky.

that's why i don't think him being "past prime" matters much. IMO, being rusty may affect his timing and so on, but i put more stock in the overall styles of each fighter......what we have here are two very different contrasts, so its gonna come down to who can force the other guy to fight his fight.

i don't see any knockouts happening, but PW's fighting style, along with his size advantages, if he fights right, means he could bust winky up a bit.....

on the other hand, for everybody sleeping on WW, we could end up seeing something like pavlik-hopkins.......

w/o having seen WW for a couple years, its just hard to gauge what knd of fight we'll get saturday, but winky is a very live 'dog.
