You know a divisions bad when a fighter has 1 fight at the weight against a bum and gets a title shot
Par bradley and hatton light welter weight is a lame division

First of all, Pacquiao fought De La Hoya at 147. Second of all, he didn't get a shot at anything. For Hatton and Pacquiao is for the recognition and money, the title just happens to be on the line.
Third of all, Ricardo Torres, Kendall Holt, Timothy Bradley, Ricky Hatton, Manny Pacquiao, Nate Campbell, Victor Ortiz. Not a bad line up by anyon'es imagination. Urango isn't HORRIBLE, either. -

140 will probably be THE division for the next year or so. Think about it:
With Hatton facing Pacquiao, the division will have linear, elite P4P superstar champion. We have Timothy Bradley who just became a bona fide contender and elite fighter in the division. Salty, and elite veteran Nate Campbell running out of time and trying to make a statement. Bad ass up and comer Victor Ortiz. The prospect Juan Manuel Marquez coming up into the division. The prospect of Edwin Valero coming up into the division. Amir Khan stepping up trying to make something happen. Young prospects like Devon Alexander and Lamont Peterson trying to gain ground... Oh yeah:
The prospect of Floyd Mayweather making his return in this very division.
Can anyone imagine how awesome it would be to see Pac/Hatton/Floyd, whoever is champ when they have sorted it out, stick around for a while?Comment
