My overall record is like 60-27, so I can hold my own but I still occasionally lose to button pushers, I use the sticks and some of these button guys just simply throw faster combo's and get me.

Button pushers meaning people who use buttons to throw punches and not the sticks. The game by default you use the sticks to throw punches. Alternately you can switch controls to use buttons. I've found that some, not all, button pushers mastered that **** down and throw insanely fast combos, in which at times I struggle with.
