How did 140 get so stacked?

Two years ago we had Hatton, Witter, Torres, Malignaggi. Now we have a HUGE stack of names Hatton, Pacquiao, Witter, Torres, Malignaggi, Holt, Bradley, Kotelnik, Ortiz, Peterson, Bailey (the one that scored the huge 1-2 KO on FNF), Urango, Hopkins, Campbell and Judah

Marquez may move up to face the winner of Hatton-Pacquiao and then you have gatekeepers like Arneoutis...

once pac joins a division it instantly becomes a better division because then people are asking who in division can beat him.

        its all about perception

Not really Campbell moved up, Pacquiao moved up and Marquez will probably follow. Urango and Kotelnik won titles in Urangos case again.

Bailey, Peterson, Ortiz and Bradley came out of nowhere. Holt and Torres had that great 2 fight run. Witter and Malignaggi/Hatton have been around a while though.

Alot of them are genuinely new contenders at 140

Where Pac is gonna go the division would be full of solid fighters... Lastime when Pac goes to 135 the LW division was the strongest and now the Jr.WW..

yeah right now i think it is the third hottest division in boxing (the first being WW the second being SMW) - LWW had a few good names at the end of last year but since then pacman, JMM and campbell have moved up and the likes of urango, bradley and ortiz have developed into better fighters.

id like to see bradley vs campbell and urango vs judah. those are the guy who we know for sure are staying at the weight, JMM might stay there or he might move up, i think pacman will move down after the ricky fight.
