if someone said he is a dirty fighter what would you say

I would say he's a crafty fighter. He knows all the ins and outs, and yeah, he'll bend the rules from time to time, but he does it in such a way that if you weren't intentionally looking for it : You probably would never see it.

I save the "dirty fighter" label for the guys from the 30's and 40's.
