Are there certain aspects were one trainer is good at developing???
What trainer do his fighters have the best jab?? What trainer do his fighters have best defence and so on?

Paul Williams should get with a trainer who develops the best jab IMO

paul williams wants to fight, he doesn't want to jab. could be his undoing imho, but it is what it is.

Personally I don't think that trainers a lot of times nowadays invest a lot of time into fighters like they should.

to me the game is really a "flavor of the moment" type of trainer. The buzz right now is around Bro. ****m. I've met Bro. Naz at the Hopkins vs. Eastman fight and that dude could talk boxing ALL DAY LONG. He's a very insightful man. That said, I believe to take full of advantage of his attributes (which is amazing because he never boxed), you have to be around him and soak up his knowledge.

Anyways, to the question. I think the at times "overrated" (and I'm from Detroit go figure) Manny Stewart is good at enhancing jabs. Too bad he's TOO enamored with only "TALL'ish" boxers who can't execute what he tries to teach them.

I think Floyd Sr. tries to impart more movement after punching whether laterally or torso movement with his charges..

Eddie Mustafa Muhammad is a trainer that I think tries to take the best of what a fighter does and impart more aggression within them.

Lastly I think Javier Capetillo instills in his charges that the have a future as drywaller ahead of them after their boxing careers

I agree fully. Mainly I feel trainers should spend the time with their fighters enough to know what style suits him best and help develop the tools to assist him in optimizing their ability. The way Mosley's head movement has slowed down enough that it would be dangerous to box and move like Cotto attempted with Margarito. So instead, ****m had Mosley fight close range landing his combinations and clinching. He uses his speed, power, and accuracy, but makes up for the lack of head movement that ended up being his downfall when he fought Cotto. Or the way Freddie adapted Khan's style. Bouie Fisher was one to work extensively with his fighter. He talked about his love for Bernard because he was so dedicated not only in the gym but he would soak up the old man's wisdom. To this day BHop talks about how he's adapted the habit from Bouie to just watch hundreds of fights all week, at home or in his car even, and learn from all fighters from all eras, whether it's to pick up a new technique or study a possible opponent, or just to watch a great fight as a fan.

I also feel Freddie Roach and Emanuel Steward are guilty of abandoning their fighter. Freddie often has too many marquee names to pay attention to his fighters before their big night. For example, letting Justin Fortune train Pacquiao for Solis (his worst performance in recent years), Vazquez for his first bout against Marquez (and the only one he lost before firing Freddy), and his lack of advice for Bernard and Oscar in their big fights clearly showed he just didn't take the time to work with their styles.

Emanuel is even worse in my opinion. He is constantly leaving his lesser known fighters, and in his most recent stunt he didn't even show up for Jonathon Banks against Adamek. Teddy Atlas said he finds Steward's track record very impressive, but he also develops the same type fighter too often with the same flaws. He also talked about how he'd have hundreds upon hundreds of youths join Kronk in an effort to have him train, and rush them into their first fights without any proper training. The few who survived, would go onto their next fights, and the freaks of nature that survived those bouts would then and only then get any personal time. Meanwhile hundreds of potential champions left the sport wounded and discouraged before they even had their chance at a career. That to me sums up Emanuel perfectly and I would have very little interest if I became good enough to look for a pro trainer.
