I got Valero in this. He has the straighter punches and is faster, Prescott's defense isn't that good either.

And I think Prescott's power could be a little overrated, he's 3-0 fighting outside of Colombia with 1 knockout, and that came against Khan who has a horrible chin. He couldn't knock out Abril, which isn't a big thing considering Abril was a good amateur and was moving on him quite a bit but he didn't really hurt Humberto Toledo until late in their fight while Toledo got knocked out relatively quickly by a guy who isn't a big puncher in Lamont Peterson so I think Valero is the more devastating puncher of the two as well.

Valero by decision, maybe a late TKO. Breidis looks like he loops his punches a lot and he will have a significant speed disadvantage.

Valero is a former champ and already proven something to a certain degree...

This is possible for July 25!

              From ESPN:

Edwin Valero (25-0, 25 KOs), who claimed a vacant lightweight title with a spectacular second-round knockout of Antonio Pitalua last Saturday, will make his first defense July 25 on Top Rank's "Latin Fury 9" PPV card in Mexico, either Cancun or Toluca, Top Rank's Bob Arum told ESPN.com. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will headline. Valero's opponent hasn't been determined, but Arum said two names under discussion are Edner Cherry and Breidis Prescott, "but it is difficult to find someone brave enough to face 'Superman.' After all, nobody wants to become No. 26 on the hit parade. I want my 'Superman' to fight as often as possible because if he's as good as I think he is, he can be an unbelievable opponent for Manny Pacquiao next year."

I'm surprised this fight is a possibility, Valero has all the promise in the world but it's still brave putting him in with a big hitter
Haven't seen much of either, i'd go with Valero.

Someone, that is for sure.......I am a fan of Prescott and I would hope he would win, but I don't think he gets through this one.

                    I'll go with Valero - he's a bad dude.
