By Jake Donovan - If ever there were such a fight where high risk and low reward existed on both sides of the marquee, the main event of HBO’s offering this weekend would be it.

Nobody wants to fight Paul Williams.

Nobody wants to fight Winky Wright.

Neither was the first choice on the other’s list of fighters to face, but beggars can’t be choosers in today’s economy. So for the sake of sticking it to the rest of the industry, they fight each other this Saturday at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas (HBO, 10PM ET/7PM PT).

Their reasons are different – one fights to stay busy, the other in efforts to have his picture removed from the back of milk cartons. Regardless of the backdrop, they fight each other.

Because they have to.

Also, because they want to.

its good that the two most avoided fighters are gonna go at it, even if its just to put the "brave" fighters who avoided to shame.(you know who you are!)
i however think it will be a very technical,tactical fight with winky overpowering williams by the late rnds.
stop all this talk of another williams ko because winky is tooooo big.
p.s. I ALWAYS SAID VALERO WOULD BE AVOIDED AND THAT HE WOULD KO,JMM,MPAC,ANYONE AROUND L/W TO WELTER,
wouldnt it be good if mayweather were to face him in a comeback fight.

Winky is nearin the end. I really hope he wins and gets a shot at Pavlik or AA. If he's got any prime fight left in him he can beat all these guys.

Pwill is going to outwork Winky and beat him up. I see Pwill letting his hands go and then turning him all night. He might even score a knockdown, but it will go 12. Pwill by UD.

But the flip side is that Winky will probably have an easier time making a big fight after getting beat. He will seem vulnerable, which will make some people consider fighting him. As long as he doesn't ask for too much, he could wind up winning a championship later this year.

I'm going for Paul on this one, but i wouldn't be upset if Winky won. If anyone's going to bring the fight that night it'll be Paul. Williams has a good chance of knocking Winky out. But Winky might be too smart for that, ya dig?

Yeah, i'm going for Williams cus he's a young cat. Plus, i like his style.

PW would whoop on all those fools. Well, cept maybe Mosely and Cotto. Mosely's a seasoned vet and ogts his ***** together.

Cotto? I dunno, that'd be a tough one to call. I think between the two of them (Cotto and Williams) Cotto's got more power. But Williams is more dimensional.

Berto and Cintro? Next! I retract my Berto statements saying he's a good prospect and a new face for boxing. Fcuk that, after the Collazo fight i'm cool. Collazo won that fight IMO. I think Berto is a protected fighter.
