Because of his ability to block almost all your punches

This is true...but it's not going to win him the fight.

Also in the high guard the left hook to the body is looking very promising.

Now don't get me wrong Clottey is durable and a pretty good boxer all around but he couldn't even KO and overweight Corrales.

That being said i'm exited about the fight because i love a battle between 2 left hookers.
He will beat Cotto with his African Fists of Fury. Thats how.

He could probably beat him in a Horrible broken English Contest.

By countering Cotto. I see him blocking Cotto and coming back with a triple left hook.

Clottey is a big welterweight so he should use his size to his advantage, keep coming forward behind the high guard, he should keep pumping his jab on the way forward so that Cotto can't get himself set to throw his combinations, work Cotto's body with those double or triple left hooks and follow them up with right hands, throw uppercuts once he gets close and lean on Cotto on the inside to wear out his legs, make Cotto work every minute of every round without working too much himself, this tactic may lose him a couple of the early rounds but would pay off big time late in the fight IMO.
