  • Viloria Says Speed, Aggressiveness Will Beat Solis

Former light flyweight champion Brian Viloria (24-2, 14 KO's) believes his speed and aggressiveness will be the key in his determined effort to regain the world title when he clashes with IBF champion Ulises Solis (28-1-2, 20 KO's) in the “Fast and the Furious” fight card at the Araneta Coliseum on April 19. Viloria shouldn't be talking about speed and aggressiveness.

    He doesn't have either.

Better focus on surviving because he'll stop punching the moment he gets hurt like he always does.

Our Brian "Maharlikan Punch" Viloria definitely has speed and power. We agree with him that with enough combination of well calculated aggressiveness, he would surely subdue Ulises Solis. All doubters (alanganins) would soon be proven wrong come April 19.

Speed and aggressiveness are precisely what Villoria has shown very little of post-Contreras. The Ortiz fight was too short to offer sufficient indication but the Aguirre defense had hints in abundance that the Contreras fight was still a big factor in his psyche, and, in various degrees, so did all of his subsequent outings.
