Wait!!! so Angulo is fighting Cintron?? Didnt Know that.

RB: Can you give us your thoughts on your upcoming fight with Kermit Cintron? "I think that it is a very important fight for me and for my career with the name and record he brings. He is an ex world champion."

RB: His only two losses are to Antonio Margarito so his only losses have been to a champion.

AA: Right. His only two losses were to Antonio Margarito so he is going to be a tough fight. It is isn't going to be easy. He won't just go away.

RB: You fought on the same card as him in both of your last fights. Did you get to see his fight with Sergio Martinez?

AA: I only saw the three rounds after the controversy (7th round).

RB: Cintron didn't look very impressive in the fight. Many people were surprised it was a decision and thought Martinez won.

AA: I thought there was a big confusion.

RB: Yes Cintron thought he was headbutted in the 7th but it was called a punch. He got up after what appeared to be a 10 count. The ref was confused and it appeared the fight should have been over. Even with that many people thought Martinez won.

AA: I need to see it myself to comment on that.

RB: This is a do or die fight for Cintron. After losing to Margarito and then getting a draw in a fight with Martinez that many people thought he lost he needs to come out and at least look impressive. I think you are going to see the best that Cintron can be.

AA: I think that it will be interesting because he needs to win to get back to where he was as a champion. I think it will be a good fight. The fights between Mexico and Puerto Rico are always interesting.

RB: Mexico and Puerto Rico have a big rivalry in boxing.

AA: Mexico and Puerto Rico have a high level of boxing. It is a competition between Mexican pride and Puerto Rican pride. Puerto Rico has a high level of training and many skilled fighters and so does Mexico. The quality of the fighters in Mexico and Puerto Rico is what makes it such a great rivalry.

RB: I read that there was a photo shoot recently of the current 8 Puerto Rican boxing champions. Do you think the Mexican champions could do something like that? Do you think they are as united as the Puerto Ricans?

AA: Mexicans are a little different than the Puerto Ricans. Everyone thinks differently. We have different cultures and I don't know if that could happen.

RB: Puerto Rico is a small island compared to the size of Mexico. I think the proximity of the fighters may be a reason they are more united as well.

AA: Puerto Rico is a island but like I told you they have quality fighters like Mexico.

RB: If you win this fight and get Cintron's name on your resume who do you want next?

AA: I really can't answer that. Like I always say I am worrying about my next fight, the fight on May 30th. If we get through that fight then I will get with my manager and Gary (Shaw) and we can figure out what we should do next.

RB: I think if you win this fight then you would be ready for a title shot.

AA: That is something I would like. I would like to fight any of the champions out there but I will need to get with my team and we will figure that out.

RB: I already know the answer but I have to ask, do you have a message for the fans?

AA: (Laughing) Like I always say remember the name of Alfredo El Perro Angulo. When you watch me fight you know you will get a good show. Watch my fight on May 30th. You won't be sorry.

    RB: Thanks for your time.

AA: Thank you Ryan. Take care.

Angulo, sounds very humble and down to earth.

No wonder why he is gaining so many fans so quickly, including myself.

About the fight, if Cintron doesnt KO Angulo in the first 5 or 6 rounds, then Angulo will proceed to TKO Cinton in the 11th!!!!!!!!

Angulo is a bit green for someone like Cintron, no?

Then again, Kermit has been hit or miss ever since the first Margarito loss, and complete garbage since being dismantled in the rematch.

Hopefully, Angulo starches his ass and it's the last we hear of crybaby Kermit.

I think Angulo is very overrated and isnt special but I think Cintron's team are idiots for putting him in with a Southpaw and I felt the same way about a Martinez fight. Cintron has terrible coordniation and its magnified by 10 against Southpaws. He looks totally lost and that could end his career. He shouldnt ever move up to 154 unless he's fighting a righty
