    After suffering tough defeats over the weekend in Austin, Texas, two former champions, Carlos Hernandez and Jesus Chavez, are facing possible retirement. Both fighters had successful careers that were filled with big fights, good money, pay-per-view slots, numerous televised showcases and title belts.     I dont know, I thought Chavez fought OK. Katsidis kind of just overwhelmed him with size and power. He wore down pretty quick, but some of that had to with the cut I'm sure. If he still needs money, he can float around the top 10 in a still loaded division.

        Jesus was doing very well, I'm not sure what happened during the fight, I think he just got tired.

          Chavez hasn't been the same since Levander Johnson.

          He's a good fighter but proly should give it up.

            I ain't surprised to see Famoso walk, but I think Chavez may still have anotha fight left in him. I was just talkin in anotha thread about his fight wit EM. Gutty ****. I might have to watch it before I go to bed.

              Chavez looked pretty good, Katsidis got a break with the cut but had good aggression throughout the fight

                Chavez was doing okay until he got that cut.

                Hernandez should retire after that very gutsy performance against Escobedo. He just wouldn't go down.
