You seem to dismiss the fact that Williams can't possibly replicate his bad night against Quintana.

    He can.

And if he can take Pavlik's shots, more power to him.

But you can't annoit him, until he's proven in this division.

Pavlik looked bad once, against one of the best boxers in the game.
    Williams is hardly that yet.
Which would make sense, but you're forgetting one small fact:

Carlos Quintana and Kelly Pavlik are as polar opposite as you could possibly get.

A fight against Pavlik would look nothing like his fight against Quintana (including the rematch)

Anyway, Wright vs Williams is going to answer a lot of questions for me. IMO this is a very dangerous fight for Paul.

Do you have to fight a guy with the same style to have a second bad night?

Williams was sloppy as **** that night with a terrible jab. He would've lost to a lot of people that night.

If he threw that pitiful jab against Pavlik, he would've ate a ton of leather.

A fight against Pavlik would be a lot more fireworks against a guy who fought a lot of big guys and big punchers and got the experience of fighting the best in the division for many years( B-Hop).

          Something Williams can't say.

So why is this such a walkover.

You act like Williams has fought heavy handed punchers that were natural middleweights.

          And he hasn't.

I need proof and resume to believe it.
Williams doesn't have this at this weight division.

The only thing I see Pavlik having trouble with in the match is Williams work rate, and that alone could win the fight for Williams. But williams i used to opponents backing away from him, he's constantly forward, never in and out, and when Pavlik is under attack, he keeps coming forward during defense. If Pavlik can control who pressures, he will win. I think Williams will have more trouble with Pavliks power and him being natural at this weight then Williams at this weight.

You're basing your argument on something as intangible as "having a bad night". That's ****** when discussing hypothetical match-ups.

If Kelly has a sore right hand, and isn't able to throw it with full pop, then his power advantage will be nullified!

You see where I can go with this?
