Over the 4 rounds he allowed plenty of inside fighting in that fight. it's all right picking out snippets but you have to take the whole fight in context

no excuses if it's reffed fairly, if the ref doesn't allow a proper fight then of course there will be complaints.

So what is a fair fight, let Hatton grapple?

Your delusional, and know nothing about Boxing. Most people would agree he wont be P4P #1 from beating Manny... don't be so biased... he will enter top 5 for sure though.

Face it, the reffing of that fight was a joke and Mayweather would've been out of there inside 4 if the ref had let them actually fight.
is this supposed to be a joke? You actually think he would of KO'd Mayweather in 4 rounds?

                A fair fight is thus:

                * when inside fighting is allowed throughout the fight not just when one fighter is on top

                * when fighters are not allowed to throw elbows as much as they please (as Mayweather was allowed to)

                * when fighters are not allowed to jump out of the ring when the going gets tough (as Mayweather was allowed to)

                * when fighters are warned about holding (not just the one fighter who wasn't actually doing the holding)

                * when fighters are forced to stay above waist height (unlike Mayweather who ducked down)

                * when fighters have to face their opponent (unlike Mayweather who turned his back)

                * when the fighters are treated fairly and equally when it comes to verbal warnings (unlike when Ricky unfairly received the warnings)

                * when the fighters are actually allowed to fight without the referee jumping in to make it all about him

that, my friend is a F-A-I-R fight, let's hope we see one in May, none of this pre-determined b/s

the main reason he won was Cortez jumping in. It suited Floyd's rhythm perfectly and kept the fighters at a perfect distance from each other. He'd always catch ricky on the way back in. Cortez splitting them was the key element.
