if Hatton doesn't get any credit for beating Pacquiao then i don't know what he would need to do to get any respect. like i said before, if he never ventured up into the WW division, many of us would have a different opinion about him. but he's a superstar, and a cash cow. sometimes being popular has it's price, and for Hatton it was steeping up and taking on the bigger and better.

Pavlik got his ass handed to him by a 43 yr old after he moved up in weight, and i don't think of him any less.

as far as the p4p list....? even if Hatton wins, i doubt he'll fight Bradley since Marquez and Mayweather would be bigger paydays, and in a way it's one of the reasons why i wouldnt mind seeing Pacquiao win. Hatton will still be a draw, and could fight Bradley or whoever else in the junior division.

then we can see Pacquiao v Mayweather and i know Marquez will be patiently waiting for the winner of that fight.

anyway, after all this Im still rooting for the underdog.
    Hatton by late round stoppage.

He would definitely move up, but I don't think he would take the top spot. It'd probably go to Marquez.

Face it, the reffing of that fight was a joke and Mayweather would've been out of there inside 4 if the ref had let them actually fight.

Back when Hatton was preparing to be humiliated by Mayweather, he was talking about taking the P4P crown. Problem was that he would have to somehow leapfrog Calzaghe and pacquiao and Hopkins et al. Wasn't gonna happen.

Similarly, if he beats Pac (which he will) his ranking will rise, but he doesn't get that mythical title of "best pound for pound". Especially IF the guy who last knocked him silly announces that he is back.
It will mean nothing if Mayweather comes back because he didn't stay active, moreover the fight with Hatton was a farce. I don't recall Hatton talking about the PFP crown before taking on Mayweather anyway, and I watched a lot of the build up. Ultimately if Hatton beats Pac his record is good enough to justify a claim to the No.1 slot, if you can deal with that then tough titty!

p.s. what breed is that doggie in your sig?

it was corrupt, Mayweather was putting pressure on the ref for weeks and he succumbed

yet when it came to reffing Calzaghe/Hopkin his style was the opposite, whatever favours the American fighter eh?

He is getting tons of credit if he beats Pac, but because he beats Pac that doesnt mean, he automatically gets to be P4P number one!!!!!!!
