He isnt that good yet. he Relies too much on his power. Definitely got the potential to be a force at LW though..

i got a question.. who hits harder. Valero or Hatton?

Agreed. And i think Valero is really open for those counters too. The way he shoots right in standing up straight with his chin high. Its just that no one has capitalized on that yet.

I say the same about Khan...And i agree, Valero stops him easily.

I got Valero against Marquez by KO, the reason being is because of Marquez's suspect jaw, Juan Diaz rocked him and Valero has amazing offense. Valero needs to learn to tuck his chin, that will cost him, maybe by Marquez, but Marquez has above average but not spectacular defense, and he is does get caught on his chin and he cannot take Valero's power, guarenteed.

Vicente Mosquera who is a nobody knocked Valero down, and the punch looked like it didn't have much power on it, so he will get knocked down again in his carreer if he does break that habit.

Nah Valero is not all power, he says skill as well. He has a good stance, long jab, and he throws smart. He also looks like he has good conditioning.

if you are picking Valero because of his non worthy opponents and hype, then you should educate yourself when it comes to boxing my friend. Is he a strong puncher? Yes. Is he explosive? Yes. Has he fought anybody of note to give him a real challenge? Other that an old Carlos Maussa, no. And Maussa actually put Valero on his ass.......

JMM has been getting tagged a lot recently, so i wont count Valero out because he has a punchers chance, But JMM is still a very live dog who is hungry for his 3rd shot at pac and i think Valero is going to get a wake up call when he fights a real fighter....

So that will give him 3 of the belts - if Khan wants to be a world champion by the end of the year, then he's probably gonna have to (somehow) entice Valero in the ring.

Can you imagine what would happen to Amir Khan if he were to try and get into the ring with Edwin Valero?! It'd be horrific. Honestly, it'd truly painful. And it would be oh so short. Oh so very, very short.
out of all the top guys at 135 Valero is the one I would almost favour Khan against.
He has huge KO power, so ****ing what. He doesnt need it to beat Khan. Everyone at 135 can knock Khan out. I could KO Khan. Valero has the least skills of them all.
If Khan can avoid getting hit, which he will have to to continue being a boxer, he can (maybe) outbox Valero. Agaisnt all the other top guys, he can be KOd by anyone, and outboxed by alomst all too.
