I think Juan's chin is underrated. He's hit the floor, but has there been a time when he didn't get up? Nope! The worst he has been hurt was in the 2nd Pac fight. Not even in the 1st fight was he that hurt, he was just caught cold. The 3rd kd he was playing to Cortez to try and get a point taken away from Pac cuz he was hit when he was on the floor. He's never really been in any danger of getting stopped.a skooling by marquez is very very likely...
but...
all valero needs is one clean shot to the chin...
pacquiao landed & jmm went down...
a shot barrera landed & jmm went down...
juan diaz's relatively soft punches found their mark...
juarez... john... they all landed one time or another...
why valero can't?
What also is underrated is JMM's power. With his precision punching Valero will be out if caught when throwing those wide punches. Let's not forget Valero tasted the canvas when he fought Mosquera.Comment

Mosquera vs Valero round 3, valero has no guard, he's wide open all the time. he was knoed by this guy. Marquez will skool him..

JMM style is all wrong for valero.he has a punchers chance but that's it,JMM would use valeros stationary head as target practice.valero ends up looking like amateur for 8/9rds then gets put to sleep.Comment

i saw valero fight mosquera and got wobbled by a right hook,he was so open at times.he sparred with good fighters and i remember one time barrera said valero is the one who can beat pac. if he gets in the ring with pac or jmm based on what i've seen he'll get koed for the 1st time if not he'll loose by large margin in a ud,imoComment

Unless Marquez gets old overnight, he beats Valero or even knocks him out. Valero is good but if he fought Marquez now the way he swings so wildly and leaves his chin completely exposed and open to counter punches, he would get hit a lot and if Marquez catches you clean, it is very often lights out.
At this point in time Valero is just too open and too wild. If he cleans his technique up then he could be very good but he would get beaten by Marquez through pure counter punching and I would not be at all surprised if he was stopped as he tried to open up with a wild swinging KO punch and was countered and knocked out with his chin hanging in the air.Comment
