It was special but it also shows the decline of the middleweight division in particular.

Pavlik had been beating everybody up until that point yet he could not deal with Hopkins at all. I would understand if he lost a close decision but he was not competitive in any round.

I certainly hope not.

There have been a lot of su****ions about pressure fighters lately, understandably after Margarito got caught of cheating, but I'd say it's more about Pavlik being able to hit his previous opponents consistently which he could not do against Hopkins.

Taylor and Miranda were good but not known for their use of defense. Hopkins showed him that part of the game. He also took away Pavlik's precious 0 and his confidence which might explain why he is having these easy fights.
