Did Floyd retire because he was afraid to fight other prime welterweights?

If he comes back, will he want to fight smaller guys like JMM, instead of men his own size like Cotto, Williams or Mosley?

    Pretty much.

That excuse that he was tire of the sport is BS, because he was about to rematch DLH. When the DLH fight fell and the only opponents available were the top WWs, he quickl retire

        No.

He retired because his body was breaking down and he has more money than sence.

He would, he just wouldn't give Floyd the money he was asking for. Win or lose, Arum would still make money off that fight.

Me being a promoter, I'd be an idiot not to take a fight with Floyd being my fighter is regarded as the #1 fighter in the division. What do I got to lose but just having my fighter lose? Wouldn't be the 1st or last time, but I'd still get payed and so would my fighter.

Is it a risk for the sake of my fighter's record? Of course...but it's a risk ANYTIME a fighter steps in the ring...it's Boxing.

I don't know if that's the case. He wanted to fight the fights where he could make the most money. I'm sure he was confident he could beat them, but he knew that if he took a risk and lost his 0 then that would have lost him a **** load of money. Do I think he was afraid? No. I just think that he was trying to make the smartest business move, make the most money and play it safe. I'm not saying that's admirable, and as a boxing fan it frustrated the **** out of me, but I doubt he was scared. Plus I think part of it has to do with the fact that he simply just lost some desire.

He just didn't have the passion for it anymore.

Why force someone to do something that he can't commit 100% of himself to. Floyd was burnt out from boxing, he needed a break. He will be back to reclaim himself as the best boxer on the planet / this generation, I guarantee it. He's not going to let Manny take that away, without a fight. Floyd is far too arrogant and proud to let that happen. Manny winning all these fights is reigniting that fire within him.
