      LEAVE FLOYDY ALONE!!!

Seriously, why do you feel the need to live vicariously through a retired fighter? He's not gonna let you join his entourage unless you lose your manhood.

So retiring after not fighting the best fighters in the weight class you hold the championship makes him deserve ATG status? For that matter, Zab Judah would be an all time great. So would Arturo Gatti.

Not all of them walk into them, there are some ****** fighters who lets themselves get hit to seem tough (Campbell ring a bell?) and like I said Flyweight-Lightweight it is mostly dominated by Mexicans, not black fighters its the higher weight classes that have more top Black fighters.

i never claimed that they werent talented...your entire basis of 'manny needs to fight kendall holt or emmanuel augustus' to be elevated in your opinion is downright ******ed

              augustus and holt? really? ok...

and as for you asking my 2 cents; it isnt your thread and its called a MESSAGE BOARD...i could give two ****s whether you asked for my opinion or not...

Also, I saw a thread from 2007 that somebody bumped where you stated if Floyd beats De La Hoya he will finally get your respect, but you don't think he will... well, 2 years have past... and wheres the respect?

You know I got nothing against you or anything, I am just saying is all...

I agree with this though... skin color shouldn't mean jack ****!
2007, it's 2009. should Mayweather get credit for the way he fought that fight?
I wasn't expecting the performance he put on that night, dunno why I wasn't.. you think I would have learned after the Baldomir fight.
(he should take notes from Pacquiao, he went in there and dominated from round one and made him quit)
Anyway, people do a lot of things to gain and lose respect.. whatever respect I gave Floyd he lost it again. And that's a bunch of bull****, y'all hear what you want to because I always give hime credit for what he did at 130 and such..
but y'all like to play Mayweather as the poor victim so you ignore it.. Boo hoo
                that's on you guys.

I have always maintained that after Castillo he played it safe and it's true.. he has claimed to be the best since then and hasn't done much to give his claims merit.
When you say you are the best welterweight in the world, people EXPECT you to prove it.. If you don't they are going to be ***** made for talking the talk but not walking the walk.. so who does Mayweather have to blame for the criticism but himself? nobody.

Quality post. A good example is Shane Mosley. Shane was able to move up AND achieve greatness at 147

The De La Hoya that fought Pacquiao wasn't the same one that fought Mayweather, you stated if he won you would give him respect... no respect given, I have never seen you give him props. As I said, I got nothing against you... I am just saying maybe you should be more fair, you are too critical... and give him no props, maybe if you did people would respect your opinion on Floyd a bit more if you get what I mean?

You know I got nothing against you, you got nothing against me... were all fans of Boxing, all have our opinions... I am just saying you shouldn't be so negative all the time, and give people there props. I would like Mayweather to come out of retirement and fight some welterweights, I would like to see him fight Pacquiao, Cotto, Mosley... but only if his heart is still in Boxing, if he hasn't got that desire to fight anymore then he should stay retired.

I don't play Mayweather as a victim whatsoever... I am fair, and give all fighters there props when deserved.

Oscar De La Hoya LIKE Floyd Mayweather started his career @ Super Featherweight too..
yet you never saw anyone complaining about Oscar De La Hoya was too small for the welterweights of his time and he fought Quartey, Whitaker, Camacho, Chavez and Trinidad.

So let me get this straight, Oscar is good size for the welter division but Mayweather isn't?
It was Oscar's.. what? fourth division too!
