Steve Collins was the fighter that got me into boxing I reckon.

I think it was his fight against cornelius carr

EDIT: WOuldnt say he was my favourite though, Calzaghe was probably my first fave.

My first favorite was my dads favorite, Pernell Whitaker. James Toney too.

Wladimir Klitschko, about ten years ago.

I vaguely remember him in the Olympics before that, but when I saw him impressively KO an opponent in the second round on TV (Bostice or Jackson?) I became a fan, and of Vitali shortly afterwards.

I had rooted for George Foreman and liked watching Mike Tyson before that, but I wasn't a serious boxing fan until the Klitschkos came along.

I mostly watched heavyweights up to 2006, I didn't really follow the other weight divisions back then. But that year I started following the other divisions and posting on websites.

It was Floyd Mayweather for me, coz before the Hatton-Mayweather fight I knew nothing about boxing and was sure Ricky would win. So seeing Ricky get schooled by someone who in my mind was the underdog, made floyds win seem much more impressive
