roy jones bernard hopkins and joe calzaghe

anyone find it funny how jones and hopkins have had a decade old rivalry then calzaghes comes and takes them both out within the space of 6 months.
both were ringside relying on the other one to win against him.

Joe could have easily lost the B-hop fight, and there would be little for him to say if he did.

Last time I posted the truth regarding Calzaghe,I was red k'd a lot but here goes,he barley squeezed past a 44 year old B-Hop and clearly did not want a rematch in his own country,so that says a lot about the man!!

          Not really.

I find it pathetic that Calzaghe had to hide in Wales until they were 40+ to face them. Then retired straight afterwards...

calz is a johnny come lately who fights past their prime boxers and then dares to call himself the legend-killer.

At least lacy attempted to travel to get joes belt. Joe may have been reluctant to travel also, but he did try to get the big american names to come to him and they wouldent and true he didnt go to them earlier in his career. Joe was a monster on the big nights in front of his home crowd and if jones or hopkins would have come say 5 years ago they would have been beaten by calzaghe. If the fight was in american who knows how it would have gone, it would have been close.

But in the end joe beat a clinging boring hopkins and a faded jones, he also beat kessler, former champs byron mitchell, charles brewer, eubank off the top of my head. Not a bad cv but could have been better if he left wales earlier, but if you look at the cv's of top guys id rank joes as about equal to floyd mayweathers.
