By Jake Donovan - The pre-fight hype suggested that the junior welterweight unification match was the biggest in Montreal boxing since Roberto Duran’s welterweight title winning effort over Sugar Ray Leonard 29 years ago. What it proved to be at the end of the night was a major gut check and ultimately the biggest win in the career of still undefeated Timothy Bradley, who overcame two knockdowns to outwork Kendall Holt in taking a close but clear decision in their 12-round main event Saturday night at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. I found this fight very interesting and entertaining. Bradley seemed off his game at first because of Holt's actions during the official instructions. He wanted to **** it out and got caught. After that, he composed himself and proved himself to be the better boxer and fighter in my opinion. I've never liked Holt, but he was really tough. He will be back, though hopefully more humble. I think Bradley will get either the loser of Pac-Hatton or Nate Campbell next. -
Good Fight for Bradley... HUGE GUT CHECK! Looking forward to seeing him against the rest of the top 135-140lbs fighters.Comment

It looks like those chin push-ups that Timothy Bradley does really paid off! I haven't seen many people's necks get whipped back and forth like that WITHOUT being KO'd. I picked Holt for this fight because I am from Jersey and I had to ride with him, but my gut told me that Bradley would pull it off. Both Fighters were great over the weekend but Bradley was just a bit more consistent. I think I may be the only person who actually had Holt winning by a round (plus the two knockdowns)...Comment

bradley is just way more focused than holt. that said, with the right adjustments I can see holt beating bradley.
the best thing that bradley does is his conditioning and activity. everything else imho can be improved w/ the right trainer.Comment
