If Cotto loses to Clottey what happens to his career....

I think this is a very big fight for both fighters, when one of them lose this will be a big set back for either, big ups to both for fighting each other and not duck and dodging the best out there. I think this would really hurt Cottos future in the division as one of the best if he loses. Your thoughts?

Depends on how he loses. But definitely a set back.

Incidentally I feel that Clottey will take this one, there is a strong possibility that we will see this scenario play out in actuality.

Even if Cotto lost to Clottey he still has some options out there. Rematches with: Mosley, Margarito and Clottey would all be feasible. A fight with Pacquiao would not be out of the question either.

I just think a loss to Clottey would ruin any claims that he is the top Welterweight in the world, or if he ever was. I also think it would change his status as an "elite" boxer to a "very, very good boxer".
