    De Ja Vu-Valero New Superstar?

I think Edwin Valero made many fans today by defeating the tough Pitalua..I still remember Pacquiao becoming a Superstar here in US by defeating Barrera..Coincidentally, the referee for that fight was Lawrence Cole..How can I forget him?hehehe..Worst performance I have seen from a referee ..Is Valero the next big thing?

Nope he isn't. He has good power but that is it, his chin is up there and he has been dropped before. His speed has improved I give you that and he seemed alot more patient

Yes but the combinations that he threw in the 1st round were amazng..I think he has the potential to be a superstar..It was like Pac when he fought Barrera..just sheer guts, will and determination and people underestimated Pac at that time as well..I think Valero is the next Superstar in boxing along wit Juan MA lopez if he gets past the old man Gerry

Well like I said he had been dropped before and the commentators were talkin about how his chin was up there. He needs to lower his chin, I couldn't see much from him because it ended too soon, he did seem more patient

No..but I guess people are just underestimating valero..Barrera is great and Pitlua is a good fighter with decent KO record..We just might be withnessing greatness right before out eyes in valero..Who could have predicted that Pac would become the best P4P fighter in the world?..Maybe Marquez will be for Valero as barrera was for Pacquiao..

yeah I agree with u..he punches like the Klit Bros..he looks stiff but when he threw that combination when Pitalua was on the ropes, I was surprised..He definitely, is deceptively quick..

It would be a war if they fight each other..that one would be like Katsidis-Diaz fight..a make or break fight..

Are you comparing Pitalua to Barrera???

I am not convinced on Valero yet, because his biggest wins have come against limited brawlers, I want to see him in with a technician. I am not saying he couldnt beat a technical fighter, I'd just like to see him do it, before I annoint him as a superstar.
