I think Roach is letting his emotions get too involved for this fight. The main thing Im talking about is Roach saying things like he told Manny that he would be really dissapointed if he didnt stop Hatton within 3 rounds.
Roach has said some things about JMM & Oscar before but he's never talked like this. I think that in some ways, youre changing Pac's mindset. He always goes for the KO but what happeneds if he thinks this fight will be a cake walk and after 3 rounds it ends up being a very tough fight? Thats not impossible. I think that could play with Pac's head some if that happened. He could start to get down on himself. Now Pac's in a dog fight that he never anticipated because of all the stuff Roach has been telling him.
Instead of just going in there boxing and fighting well like he normaly does, I could see him coming out wild and gunning for an early KO. There even saying that it could be like Hagler-Hearns. Now with these 2 it could very well be a Hagler-Hearns type fight but I dont think he should really just have Pac's mind set on that. I think Pac can out quick him and maybe out box him if he's on his game but if he just comes in the ring gunning then I could see him stopping Hatton early but I could also see him running into a brick wall that he never thought he would be in the ring with. Maybe Hatton starts bullying him and it turns out to be a shock to him because Roach said that Hatton was a bum that he would stop in 3. If he did bust him up and brutaly stop him early, it would be huge for boxing and set up a big matchup against Mayweather that I think could break alot of records
