Why did they like a limited one dimensional cheat who was schooled by Williams? More than a JMM who had beaten the likes of Pac Casa Diaz and other names.

Maybe because Margarito acts like a thug and a badass..i am also surprised by the support that Mexicans have on Margarito..but I guess the win of Marquez over Diaz would be the start of mexicans supporting..he showed there heart and determination..Im from the phils and I am definitely a fan of Marquez..

I've always liked Marquez way more than Margarito. Margarito was the fighter I probably rooted against the most.

It's common sense people tend to favor aggressive fighters that give a good show, Marg used to be that guy.
However, I think since the wrap scandal Marg, most fans have stopped supporting Marg.
JMM's impressive show against Diaz has helped him tremendously popularity wise, and I believe he is the most liked boxer now.

i never put margarito over jmm. i always thought margarito was slow, and no skilled. ill admit i was impressed with the win over cotto (pre wrap scandal) but jmm is a technical genius. i always had jmm light years ahead of margarito!
