I never got that, he stay civilized even after getting his ear bitten off by Mike Tyson. Does it show Holyfields true character as a person? And Idk, that is the fight that made my lose alot of my love for Tyson personally.

Well Evander admitted to biting an oponnnet in the amateurs, so maybe he understood.

Was that on purpose though or unintentionally? I can see a boxer opening their mouth to gasp for air and at the wrong time their opponent comes in and they close their mouth by accident. But what Tyson did was so intentional it wasn't even funny atleast to the person getting his eye bitten off.

Holyfield was always a nice guy, he is a born-again christian, praisin God after every win, on tv. He just didn`t preach as often after his ears got bitten, maybe silently troubled after financial problems.

Pretty sure it was intentional. I read it in The Ring's "The Bite Fight 10 years later" article

because Jesus is in him with the Holy Spirit...or something like that.

because he knew he was bitten for a reason. If he had been bitten and was totally innocent, he would have been going nuts but because he knew he had been butting Tyson like a mad scotsman he realised there is no point going crazy, take the pious highroad and be cool
