Tyson fought in one of the best eras of boxing..the 80's..and during the time the heavyweight division was looking for their next Ali to bring back the division to how it was in the past.

    Tyson all the way.

De La Hoya is known world wide but only to boxing fans. Tyson is known to almost anyone on the planet with a TV.

                yup.

people forget he was so popular that he took his version of joe louis' bum of the month on the road worldwide.

oscar only fights in vegas and california.

tyson use to get multi-million dollar purses fighting in different european countries and japan.

I'm not sure.. I haven't been to Europe or Asia. I know Oscar is known in the U.K. and probably in Asia after the Pacquiao fight, he is definitely known all over in Latin America and is a house hold name in the U.S.A.

Tyson is a household name in the U.S. too more so then Oscar since he is a heavyweight, he fought Lennox Lewis and Danny Williams so he must be known
in the U.K... Fought Buster Douglass in Japan too..

Oscar is on the Fight Night cover, Tyson is on the old school SNES punch out games and will be in the new one.

It's hard to say.. my guess would probably Tyson? he is after all a heavyweight.
People tend to know heavyweights more then anything.

if the question is "who is more popular to the ladies", it would be the other way around..
