If you take a look at where Joe Cortez is standing when that transpired it must have looked like a blatant shot to the back of the head. Either way, Hugman Hatton should be penalized in EVERY fight for excessive clinching. I mean, does the guy even have real skills as a boxer? I mean, he gets outboxed by everyone he stands with. Luis Collazo, anyone?

The point was taken because he threw a punch to the back of the head of Floyd while Floyd was in-between the ropes and his back was turned. Luckily for Floyd, the ropes stopped the punch.

If you shoot at someone across the street but don't hit the target intended because a car comes by and takes the bullet, doesn't mean you are not guilty of intent.

He attempted to hit him on the back of the head and hit the rope... I know it didn't land and all which is fair enough, the point shouldn't have been deducted... but the fact is he was attempting to do it and paid consequence, regardless of him hitting the top rope.

You need to stop bitching about the Hatton vs Mayweather fight, Hatton was outclassed and Mayweather was great that night... just leave it be.

You will be saying that Cortez planted titanium in the ring post next.

Are u ******,even if he didnt land,he still threw a punch while Floyd went out of the ropes with his back turned,Hatton went to punch him behind the head and the rope came in his way,the ref could or couldent have seen this, either way Hatton still went to do it,so what if he missed? Its still a deduction

If you were at the angle Cortez was you would have thought he hit Floyd too, everybody did until they showed the replay. The same reason why you cant be too mad at judges because they cant see every punch land at all times being they are at once angle all the time. We have the beauty of instant replay at home.

refs should not allow excessive holdin whatsoever unless it's a mma match.joe cortez is one of the best but i hope he wont be the ref on the pacquiao vs hatton fight to avoid one less excuse!

Testdead, is the only poster to lose a hard-on when Hatton lost.

No wait, there were quite a few of you, I'm sure.
