Ali speaking about fighting Marciano - ''Marciano would be the most trouble''

According to Ali.. Marciano would be a greater threat to him than Joe Louis among other ATG.. Saying Marciano is a dangerous opponent, even for him, because he is a ''has no style'' kind of brawler and can take a hell of a beating.

How do you think Marciano would stand up to Ali in a 15 round fight prime for prime? Personly, the only real outcome I see is Ali dancing around him for 15 rounds making Marciano look like a fool...

Trust me ALI fans will ALL GO QUIET untill this is removed then tomorrow its"are you kiddin, that midget wouldn't last 7 rounds with ALI'.Funny thing is that both George Foreman and Joe Frazier said that Marciano would be ranked ONLY behind Joe Louis in his prime as the best ever .Even above themselves,Foreman said"If Frazier could beat Ali,Marciano would , he also kept coming ,but could punch just as hard with his right unlike Frazier".

Marciano would just keep working and working and working. He was an arm bruiser...hitting his oppositions arms all night causing his opponents arms to get tired and eventually drop leaving the head open for punishment. I could def see him giving Ali trouble in a 15 round fight.

Honestly I think Ali would have beaten Marciano handily but he knows better than I do.

Frazier also fought Ali after his exile which was after he declined athletically. Even Ali admitted that when he came back he didn't have the stamina to dance the full fight anymore which is why he took to staying against the ropes and other tactics.

If Marciano fought the version Frazier fought, which was post-exile and still too soon to fight a fighter like Frazier...yeah, Maricano gives him hell.

Good to see Ali recognizes Marciano was a top heavyweight.

Many of Ali's fans do not.

Does any mdern day fighter do this?
I always thought it was a great tactic, pretty much impossible to fight with 2 dead arms. Joe Calzaghe did it a bit when he went in swinging wildly, but he pretty much hit every part of your arms, body and head. I cant really think of anyone else.

Ail has always went back and forth with the topic of how well other champs would have done with him.
Being in a humble mood sure he will admit that Marciano would be a hard fight he's also said the same for Tyson and Jack Johnson.
He was always very hard on Joe Louis they didn't like eachother very much because Ali thought of him as 'the white mans champ'.

Listen to what he says about Dempsey.

Jack Dempsey couldn't lace Ali's gloves.

Marciano was a very good HW, but I don't think he would have bothered a prime Ali, who was a lot bigger, taller, faster, and had a better chin that Maricano.
