I am here in Md. right now with Matt as he readies for the fight tomorrow night (I spar with him and help in his corner on fight night. Keep an eye on him...he's got a lot of tools and is BY FAR the most dedicated kid I know. He REALLY DOES want to step up and fight big names and big fights and fight for titles, etc etc...and is willing to do whatever it is he has to do to get to that point...watch him, he will definitely try with everything he has to put on a good show and to win. What more can u really ask for, right? -

I remember seeing Remillard on Friday Night Fights. I have to say, I was pretty impressed with him. he was in with a very durable opponent, and was able to put him away not too long into the fight. and I think hes only 21 or 22, young guy.
he still needs polishing, but he has good natural ability and physical qualities. Im hoping to see him fight top level guys in the future.
but Im not sure why hes fighting a guy like he is tonight. hes not going to learn much of anything from this fight, and this is a step down from his last fight against a former (very past prime) title holder.Comment

Matt won by TKO-3 tonight...the reason this opponent was put in was because the guy was supposed to fight someone else but that opponent came in 8 pounds too heavy at the weigh-in...so because this guys weight was within only a couple of pounds from Matt's weight the fighters were switched around to seal up the showComment
