If Haye turned it down it would be understandable, IMO. The contract is a joke. If everyone knew why he'd pulled out I think they'd agree it wasn't such a bad idea to do so.

Even if he beats Wlad, he loses later to either one of the K's. ****** contract.

Well, if Haye wants to save the heavyweight division from boredom, now is his best chance. That being said, I'm willing to bet on Wladimir.

that last part is what he should have argued for , he should also get a rematch clause . something along the lines of if he loses but goes longer than 8 rounds he can get an immediate rematch . if he gets blasted in less than that i dont really see the need.

Yeah, that contract is a little rough, but at the same time Haye got to jump in front of several other deserving contenders for this title shot. So yeah, he pretty much was going to pay a fairly large price for getting this opportunity.

the problem is all the contract talk was speculation up until now. you only had to look at the threads from the articles where haye was talking about the contract being unreasonable to realise that there was lots of people saying it ws just haye looking for a way out

I want proof that this clause even exists on the contract that Haye will sign.

interesting yeh. if the fights a cracker but haye loses narrowly the demand is going to be for a rematch anyway though i suppose so he'll probably get one.
