Besides, Haye would make a ****load of money and garner more fame in those three fights than any other fights that he could possibly be in. The Klits are just covering themselves for the possibility of a crazy Hayemaker. Their promoters probably give Haye about a 10% chance of pulling something off, but why not take what you can get right?
They're covering themselves for the possibility of two crazy Hayemakers in successive fights; and Haye could well be stripped of the belts if he won them, because he'd have to refuse to fight at least one mandatory in order to be able to honour the contract.

It's not as if he can fight anyone else in between, under the contract he has to fight three successive fights against one or other brother, if he wins.

You must admit that's the most extraordinary contract.

Got to laugh at Tunney trying to defend it.

Give just one other example in boxing history when that was in a contract.

The possibility of Haye defeating the two brothers back to back is practically zero.

It's akin to the Klitschkos having an option on Haye's 3rd Nobel Peace Prize should he win 2 of them.

Boente obviously doesn't share your opinion, or he wouldn't have forced it to be in the contract. Considering that it has seriously damaged the Klitschkos' reputation and made them look silly, the only believable reason why he put it in is because he thinks it may be necessary.

I think that Law Professors should use the contract as a golden example of how to putting amateur negotiators with zero leverage in their place.

I'll let you know when word of the Klitschkos' tarnished reputation gets to me.

K2 is a Promotion like others.

3 Options are Standard for other Promoters like Don King, Sauerland, Universum, de la Hoya.

It is box buizz. Nothing else.

But who cares. Wlad will knock him out.

It is unprecedented for any contract to state who the challenger must fight in his first two defences, if he wins, even if honouring it means being stripped of the titles as a result.

Don't try to bull****, or if you really think it's normal, back it up by showing us just one other contract in boxing history where that has ever happened.

Haye's been screwed with the contract, but this just shows how confident the guy is and that the Klits fear him.

Yeah and the fact that he is willing to fight Wlad in Germany to, you got to give him credit.
