That was truly a great performance no doubt. I think that if you are going to retire, a win like that should be your last fight. i mean, it was beautiful

A good win to go out on no doubt, but if he wants to be remembered as the greatest like he says he is, there's still some fights that have to be made and there's lots of fights for him out there.

The division is packed with talent and if he was going to truly retire, it would hurt hes legacy retiring while the division is packed with alot of great fighters that he has yet to fight.

It is a great way of saying goodbye... beating 43-0 dude at his own game and stop him...

but it just left me wanting more. I respect the decision of not fighting anymore (his health, not mine), but after seeing how he fought on the inside, it became clear to me that a ~35yo 140lbs Mayweather would be a helluva fighter to watch, much better than the 30yo welterweight! He would be in the right weight class, and with age he would not have enough speed to avoid engaging all night anymore.

A ko win is definitely a great way to end a career, BUT i dont think his victory over Hatton was good enough to retire....

Had he fought any of the other champs in the WW division and ko'd them, then i would say hell yeah, way to end a career, But he chose instead to fight a blown up hatton, who was tailor made for him....
