A few things:
1. This fight is overexaggerated on how bad it is. It is GOD AWFUL to watch, but... people were talking like Dirrell would land a jab, and literally 40 yard dash sprint around the ring for the rest of the round and coast on that to win rounds. He moved wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much and threw wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too little, but you all even managed to make it sound worse than it really was.
2. Dirrell was being a right **** about things in that fight too. He almost seemed to enjoy that he was ruining the fans' nights and laughing because he was taking away Stevens's chances of making it big in the least punishing loss that has ever been.
3. LOL at Lennox Lewis saying he would pay money to see Dirrell fight after this... that is just insane. It was a terrible, terrible fight to watch. Lederman (who has seen every fight since the beginning of time) said it was the worst fight he had ever seen (although he was obviously overexaggerating too).
I actually thought it was pretty funny altogether... so you know it was a bad fight. When a fight is so god awful bad that it is funny, that means there was something wrong with what was going on in the ring. If I had watched that live, I would have ripped my hair out and cast a thousand curses on the Dirrell family. It helped that I knew what I was in for.
Thank god he has figured out how to be a more exciting boxer... because he can do it right when he tries.
The Findley fight was more frustrating to me, because he wasn't even moving that much... he just couldn't seem to let his fists go.
