    The POON'S Workout Regimen

    Every other day I do:

5-10 minutes of stretching and warmups

    3 sets 30 chair pushups
3 sets of 18 bicep curls (20 lb weights)
3 sets of 18 military press (25 lb weights)
3 sets of 18 shoulder shrugs (30 lb weights)
250-300 reps of assorted ab excercises

6 3 minute rounds on the heavy bag (focusing on different strategies rd by rd)
4 3 minute rounds of jump rope

in the days between days I focus solely on running between 3 to 5 miles and the 250-300 assorted ab work.

    Any thoughts or suggestions?

godamn big boy, 205 and using 20lbs weights? better be doing some high ass reps on those things. I'm 175 and use 55lbs dumbells when I used to lift weights. Now I use 20's as wrist curlers

I do 3 sets of 18 with my weights...man..I wonder if I can get down to 175...20's as wrist curlers?? are you joking...man your making me feel like a mouse lol..

I like to work on staying toned instead of bulking up so I like to use lighter weights and doing more reps.

Depends on what your goals are but at the very least you might want to consider mixing things up. Not only is the idea of changing up your workouts good for physical improvement but it also helps prevents the boredom that comes with repetitiveness.

For example, one day you could run 3-5 miles. Your next running day you could do 400-800 M intervals and then the next time do 50-100 M sprints. This way your targeting both the aerobic and anaerobic systems.

Can you define anaerobic vs. aerobic? My goals are basically to stay in shape, cut, and have enough wind to box, run and play basketball.

and LOL @ Bourdain takin' a shot from Cotto.. I love that show.
