acctually u called him a bum quite a few times, which is pretty much denying a good run at any weight. u also said he made a name for himself losing to leonard, hearns and hagler. which proves that u are new to boxing. i remember when i first got into boxing i thought duran was overrated too. how can he be so legendary when all he did was lose? then i watched him early in his career, and once i understood the sport in itself i saw greatness even in some of his failures such as the hagler fight.
u simply dont know your boxing and need to study it further. u have no facts in any of your posts just opinions you are not really entitled to since you clearly dont know boxing and cant handle a discussion with real fans. care to answer blackirish? i guess u simply ignored the list of accomplishments he posted in favor of calling ppl "butthurt" and emotional. the only emotions i see in this thread is pity over your ignorance.
stop visiting this forum, and instead go watch some fights. any fights and learn what boxing is about before opening up your big mouth making a fool out of yourself. im a young fan myself at 18, but i did my homework on past greats. you should too instead of posting pure, uncut, raw ******ity such as this BS about duran. a fighter anybody with even a ounce of boxing knowledge knows is amongst the greatest fighters to ever lace em up.Comment

Duran was the greatest fighter of the 70's. He was a beast. After he beat Leonard in the brawl in Montreal (one of the greatest fights in the history of boxing) he started losing the 'Big' fights and he wasn't as great as he was in the 70's but he was still one of the top fighters to beat...Comment

He sucks. Made a name for himself for beating Leonard once and saying No Mas in the rematch. This bum lost all of his big fights except the first Sugar Ray one and a split decision to Iran Barkley. Lost to Hagler, Benitez, Hearns, Leonard twice. He's praised for what? his losses? 103-16 in a resume that's more padded with bums than Margarito's gloves were padded with plaster. I rather praise Arturo Gatti and his ability to get people paychecks by being their punching bag on TV, than praising Roberto "Manos de Mierda" Duran. Duran is loved because he was a God at losing big fights. I sound mad? yes I am because there is a lot hypocrisy going on, on this forum. I'm just gonna leave it at that.Comment
