Martin Rogan will fight Sam Sexton of Norwich in the first defence of his Commonwealth heavyweight title at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast in May.
Rogan claimed the title by stopping European champion Matt Skelton in Birmingham on 1 March.
Like Rogan, Sexton, 24, is a previous Prizefighter winner and has won 11 of his previous 12 fights, four by KO.
The preliminary date for the contest is set for 15 May but that could change due to television interest.
Tickets for the fight will cost between £30 and £150 but promoter Frank Warren says he is confident that the attendance will approach the arena's 10,000 capacity.
Former English amateur boxers James DeGale, Frankie Gavin and Billy Joe Saunders are all set to box on the bill while other Irish fighters are expected to be added to the card in the coming weeks.
Any thoughts on Sexton? I cant remember what he's like, I think I saw him fight once.
