    Rogan's opponent confirmed

Martin Rogan will fight Sam Sexton of Norwich in the first defence of his Commonwealth heavyweight title at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast in May.

Rogan claimed the title by stopping European champion Matt Skelton in Birmingham on 1 March.

Like Rogan, Sexton, 24, is a previous Prizefighter winner and has won 11 of his previous 12 fights, four by KO.

The preliminary date for the contest is set for 15 May but that could change due to television interest.

Tickets for the fight will cost between £30 and £150 but promoter Frank Warren says he is confident that the attendance will approach the arena's 10,000 capacity.

Former English amateur boxers James DeGale, Frankie Gavin and Billy Joe Saunders are all set to box on the bill while other Irish fighters are expected to be added to the card in the coming weeks.

Any thoughts on Sexton? I cant remember what he's like, I think I saw him fight once.

    Thats bull****.

I said he should fight Chisora, but people said Chisora wasn't on his level yet so it won't happen.

Then he goes and fights Chisoras left overs.

I was thinking it was a step down, name wise at least. Like I said I know next to nothing about him.
I was hoping for Danny Williams to be honest!
So, u seem to know about him, whats the story?

He a decent British level fighter.

Him and Chisora fought an excellent contest, I was waiting for a rematch which was supposed to happen.

Chisora v Sexton II, with the winner facing Rogan would be better.

But, The Rogan that fought Skelton stops him mid rounds.

I will be there with f.ucking bells on. They better not feck around with the date. I worth everyother weekend!
So is he a brawler? I looked him up on wiki, he's small for a heavyweight which works in Rogie's favour, and he's been stopped before.
I should have known Warren wouldnt take a big risk, especially as its a home fight in belfast.

Rogan should have stepped up to European level or something instead of staying British.
