i agree but people still say his record is rubbish.for a guy that derserves so much respect he has a lot of hatersComment

i myself is amazed by the lack of respect some give hatton here in america...i really dont think most americans have really been exposed to seeing him fight...so a lot of fans here think his record and opponents are weak or something....whats ironic too is ricky is like one of the largest money revenue fighters in all of boxing, but he doesnt get the respect as say as a de la hoyaComment

Let's put it this way, there's more to like about Pacman than Ricky, but I'm not knocking Ricky. Manny's rags-to-riches story is well documented, although Hatton went through the same hardships as well before he got to where he is right now, although not that well publicized or known to the boxing circles.
There's a lot of people here who respects Hatton, but they can't just sit on the fences and watch, they have to take sides, just like any other boxing fan.
As for the fight, whoever imposes his will over the other, will probably take this one. Both camps have their own game plans plus some back-up plans, but if nothing works, the man who adjust quicker will emerge victorious...Comment

yea i agree totally with what u said, i'm a big manny fan myself...i just really want ricky to win this one....i think if he wins, its a carear defining win, if he loses, i just dont see what he does after this to be honest...i dont see him fighting guys like bradley or holt, or witter.....i think this fight will be a classic,....i'm starting to really believe roach believes in this 3rd round ko stuff
I'm not privy to Freddie Roach or anything, but I think the 3rd round KO prediction is just to wind Floyd Sr. up. As for both boxers, I see them fighting for a couple of more years at the most, and since they're both big names (in terms of fans and revenue) of the sport, their options are limited. If the May 2nd fight would be close and exciting enough for the fans to pay for it again, I don't see any reason for both sides not to agree to go at it again. So, I'm sure there's a semi-retired boxer out there who's praying this fight won't be a classic back-and-forth, close to life and death kind of fight, because a rematch will leave him out ($$$) in the cold...Comment
