What if Cotto had Loaded Gloves vs Margarito?

same situation except everywhere we used Margarito's name we'd be using Cotto's names and instead of Mexicans rushing to the defense of their hero, it would be Puerto Ricans.

Yes he would, are you kidding? Do you think this is just because he's Mexican? Come on man.

There's more Cotto haters out there then Margarito haters anyway, so yes he definitely would recieve the same treatment.

On a side note, Cotto is a good human being.

Yup, anyone who says otherwise is probably Mexican. Not being racist, it would be the same if it were Cotto who was busted. Puerto Ricans would say that Margarito wouldn't have been treated as bad.

Right away the discussion gets focused on the treatment of the fighters. What about the fight itself. Would Cotto be able to do what Tony did to him if Cotto had his gloves loaded?

No he wouldn't get the same hate. Look at Trinidad (getting caught with illegal handwrapping before Hopkins fight) everyone still loves him and no one even cares about that anymore, It wasa big buzz when it happened. If Cotto got caught with that, He would have apologized and say he didn't know. Margarito is Mexican so he gets different treatment, unfortunately. Everything that Margarito has said and even Roach claiming Tony approached him to take him to train him and Tony swore he didn't know and that he almost cried right infront of Roach, If it was Cotto, he would have been forgiven easily IMO. That's just how I see it.
