Gerry P is out of prime. Maybe he was at least a couple of years younger. He also fought just once after beating Jhonny G. The problem will not be the power or speed, it will be the height advantage.

I believed its JuanMa time but i will root for Gerry. Remember before that he was gonna be KO by Ponce but didn't happen. Even the Ring mag and a couple of media have Gerry winning.

This isnt surprising. Penalosa is a great fighter and represents a huge step up in class from the stiffs Lopez has been fighting. Penalosa is a very live dog and I give him AT LEAST a 50% chance of beating Lopez.

penalosa is a seasoned, tactical fighter from many wars. this will be an acid test for the young gun juanma. me thinks the young one will be confused when he gets hit by gerry’s own power. I have no idea how strong is juanma’s jaws……

We would say instead, WBO Bantamweight Champ Gerry Penalosa will expose Juanma Lopez' weaknesses in the ring. This will be a battle between a "tactician" and "fighter" (raging bull style). It will be likened to just how a skilled matador will dispose a raging bull in the arena. Juanma is the raging "bull", Penalosa will be the "matador".

We predict a 10th round KO for Champ Gerry Penalosa.

The warrior from the bloodline of Rajah Lapu-lapu will prevail!

Co-sign. He has that Casamayor kind of savyness that makes it hard to clearly beat him and also maximizes his abilities.

But I think JuanMa stops him also. JuanMa is a very polished as well and not just a KO machine.

Note that this fight will be held at Juanma`s turf. Jerry has to at least knock him down or ko him, or possibly be a victim of hometown decision.
